LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF

ABOUT

Noah Shulman is a New York City born artist and creative storyteller. Having grown up in and around musicians and the music business, Noah quickly understood the delicate balance between music as an art form but also as a business. This mentality carried over when he pursued a career in the film and media world. Soon after graduating with a BFA in Film, Video and New Media from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Noah started Sleepless City, a production company focusing on music, fashion and commercial content.

Over the course of Noah’s 15 year career, he has been involved in every aspect of production and excels in working cross-functionally across various departments and disciplines. This has given him a unique advantage on a granular level, when ideating. He’s already thinking ten steps ahead.

Later, Noah as Vox Media was beginning to grow exponentially, Noah was asked to join full-time at the foundation of in-house branded content agency Vox Creative, which ultimately became the driving revenue for the company. This was a unique position and challenge to understand artistic integrity while also driving business objectives. Noah went on to create several award winning campaigns and helped shape the voice for branded content  at Vox Media. From short documentaries, immersive articles to experiential activations, Noah worked with such diverse brands such as Nike, Jaguar, Ford, USMC, Samsung, Microsoft and Knob Creek.

Noah then joined media startup Mic.com as Creative Director of the branded content studio known as Vantage. Mic’s brand ethos permeated from its editorial journalists to branded content — telling unique stories by unique perspectives. Noah led the team in pitching and creating compelling and award-winning stories for a variety of brands including Royal Caribbean, IBM, Uber and Visa.

In 2019, Noah joined Sony Music Entertainment as Creative Director of Content at Legacy Recordings. It was a full circle moment which combined Noah’s passion for storytelling and content creation with his musical roots. The ability to tell stories in new and innovative ways, combined with an iconic catalog of artists was a perfect combination. Noah has helped create award-winning content from music videos, short docs, explainers, digital  brand identity, experiential events and augmented reality activations for iconic artists such as Elvis Presley, Pink Floyd, ACDC, Nas, Ozzy Osbourne, The White Stripes, Barbra Streisand, Janis Joplin and many more.

When Noah manages to find a spare moment, he enjoys running The Film Pin Society; an e-commerce accessories brand celebrating individuals in the film & video industries. Taking everything he knows from storytelling to content, to an overall brand experience, he built relationships, learned manufacturing, package design, Shopify’s commerce platform and turned a side hustle into a revenue driving business. FPS was most recently featured in the 2022 Oscar® Nominee Gift Bags as is also being carried by the Academy Museum Store online and in-store.

Noah has won many awards for his work over his career, which includes a Webby Award for best animated music video, official selection at the Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW and has received over 30+ Telly Awards.
