In January 2021, Sony Music & Legacy Recordings kicked off a year long campaign to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Philadelphia International Records. The campaign consisted of new product and content releases, exclusive partnerships and building a social presence on all platforms.

The first step in creating a cohesive campaign was to update, expand and build upon the look and feel of PIR’s ethos and bring them into the modern day.  Taking inspiration from the patterns, textures and fonts from of the era, this new playbook was used across a variety of mediums from physical product releases, playlists covers, social posts and the PIR website. The updated branding lent itself to creating a bold and unique social media identity that positioned PIR to be the home and voice of some of the most iconic songs in music history.
